Vibrators are the by far the most popular adult toys, and have been developed and improved into a wide variety of shapes and functions. If you are looking for your first female vibrator and confused by such a wide variety, then maybe this page will help you choose the best vibrators for you.
There are three basic types of stimulation that can be provided by female vibrators:
1.    Clitoral or external stimulation.
Because the Clitoris is easily accessible most vibrators can be used for clitoral stimulation, however a vibrator designed for the job will of course work best. Bullet Vibrators are simple low cost but very effective clitoral stimulators.

2.    G Spot or internal stimulation.
The G Spot is a sensitive area on the front wall of the vagina, approximately two inches (50mm) from the vaginal opening, but the exact position of this sensitive area varies greatly and can be difficult to find. G Spot Vibrators are designed with a curved tip that makes finding and stimulating the G Spot easier. G Spot vibrators are not recommended as first vibrators for the sexually inexperienced.

3.    Dual Stimulation, (Simultaneous external and internal).
There are many vibrators that will stimulate internally and externally, but not at the same time. Dual Stimulation Vibrators will! That’s what makes Rabbit Vibrators so popular. The majority of rabbit style vibrators are not designed for G Spot stimulation, but work very well on other areas internally. There are other dual stimulation vibrators available, the Rock Chic and the Penthouse G Quake are just two examples.
Once you have decided on the basic type of vibrator, there are two other things to consider.
1.    The amount of vibration or power required.
If you have not used vibrators before you will not need an ultra powerful vibrator. We suggest that you look for multi-speed vibrators that are easily adjustable to a vibration level to suit you.

2.    The materials used to make the vibrators.
Solid materials (i.e. hard plastics) are very good for vibration transfer. Softer materials (i.e. silicone) absorb vibrations but feel nice against the skin. Then there’s the compromise, a hard plastic with a silicon coating, soft and smooth with very little vibration loss. The choice here is down to personal preference, but if this is your first experience with a vibrator we would suggest avoiding the solid materials and going for a nice soft feel.

We hope this basic information about vibrators has been of some help, and can only add that if you are looking for your first vibrator, it’s best to keep it simple and reasonably priced; complicated vibrators will not necessarily be the best vibrators to experiment with.
